From Lubbock (approx. 1 hour)
From Lubbock International Airport, take I-27 north to Plainview
exit, Hwy. 70. Turn right (east) and go 13 miles. FBF is on the
north side of the road.
From Amarillo (approx. 1.5 hours)
From Amarillo International Airport, take I-40 west to I-27 south.
Then take Plainview exit, Hwy. 70. Turn left or east 13 miles and
FBF is on the north side of road.
From Oklahoma City (approx. 4.5 hours)
From OKC Will Rogers Airport, take I-40 west to Clarendon,
Texas (exit 124). Go south on Hwy. 70 through Clarendon to Hwy.
70-Hwy. 256 junction, turn right (west) to Silverton, Texas . Go
eight (8) miles west to Silverton, turn left (south) on FM 378 to
Lockney, Texas. At FM 378-U.S. 70 junction, turn right (west) three
(3) miles to FBF on north side (right) of the road.

Welcome to “The
Final Chapter”
The “Final
Chapter” of The Gathering Sale series is proving to be one of the
best ever. This group of females is our best set ever assembled for
public appraisal. We are selling all Chiangus, Chi-influenced and
Simgenetic females three years of age and older. Included are
several proven donors and other matrons of donor quality that have
yet to be tapped dueto this liquidation.
Our decision
to have an offering of this size was derived from a combination of
rapid growth and last year’s drought. We simply outgrew our
facilities and our grazing resources. FBF is not getting out of the
business, we are merely downsizing until more grass and
infrastructure allows more numbers.
Rather than
bringing you all a mixed offering of breds and show heifer
prospects, we elected to offer you our entire Continental and
Composite registered mature cow herd three years of age and older.
To further insure quality of this set, we utilized a harsh screening
method and marketed the lower end privately this summer. We
guarantee, with utmost integrity, that this offering is the top end
of the entire female base. Several of these females have had a
direct or indirect influence on our program’s success over the past
few years.
Featured
amongst our Chi offering will be 19H, 94J, 52B daughters and
granddaughters, and the influence of past donors like Angel Rose.
Our Simmental group is small in numbers but stout in quality.
Leading the pack of Simgenetic females is the Meyer 734 daughter,
408L and our purebred donor SVF Delightful (outcross to Powerstroke
and Legacy pedigrees). The Angus gathering will highlight the 0464
donor, a maternal sister to HA Image Maker, along with her OCC
Anchor daughter, and many other OCC bred females by Anchor, Emblazon
and Legend.
In closing,
we would like to invite each of you to Lockney on the September
21-22 weekend. Not only will you enjoy great food and hospitality,
but an outstanding set of cattle will be available for your viewing.
Study this sale book cover to cover in order to better absorb the
diverse offering. Come early and stay late as there will be some
very solid cattle in each and every group.
